Redistricting
[edit]My recent edit was reverted, because I stated that the citation was paywalled. Unless one is subscribed to WAPO, it only shows the first paragraph. I also added more context to provide a neutral representation. The AP sources that I used are freely available in full. cheers. anastrophe, an editor he is. 23:03, 25 May 2024 (UTC)
- Correction - yes, the full WAPO article is available if you use an 'approved' browser. Regardless, my edit provided more context on the decision, and the AP cites work regardless of browser. cheers. anastrophe, an editor he is. 23:12, 25 May 2024 (UTC)
Sentence about signage needs work
[edit]After facing backlash from members of Congress especially Hakeem Jeffries for bullying the first-ever trans lady in Congress, Mace put up a "BIOLOGICAL women" sihn on the Capitol restroom even though McBride hadn't been sworn in November 2024. 1. Change "lady" to "woman". 2. Change "sihn" to "sign". 2A00:23C5:FE1C:3701:C0D5:B28E:71E6:79B9 (talk) 13:36, 20 November 2024 (UTC)
- I'm cutting it down actually because I think her restroom stunt is WP:UNDUE. – Muboshgu (talk) 14:44, 20 November 2024 (UTC)
- When Mace says that she doesn't mind being labeled a "monster" and "bigot," believe her instead of deleting her own publication on house.gov "[Rep. Nancy Mace OBLITERATES the Radical Left: "I WILL FIGHT LIKE HELL" | Representative Nancy Mace]" Arbeiten8 (talk) 04:27, 21 November 2024 (UTC)
- We don't need to quote or use her own press release. – Muboshgu (talk) 19:13, 21 November 2024 (UTC)

Wrong Quote Attribution - Bathroom Bill section
[edit]a quote in this section is attributed to the wrong person. The paragraph in question reads as follows:
According to Mike Johnson, Mace is so passionate about excluding McBride that she was "tweeting 262 times about a bill that applies to like .00000001% of Congress in 36 hours."
The quote should be attributed to Natalie Johnson, Mace's former communications director, and not Mike Johnson. 24.206.82.195 (talk) 15:33, 21 November 2024 (UTC)
- I deleted it as barely relevant, and per WP:NEWSWEEK. – Muboshgu (talk) 19:13, 21 November 2024 (UTC)
- I made an error. Mike Johnson misgenders trans women and has announced his opposition to them using any female facilities beyond bathroom on the Capitol. "Speaker Johnson says transgender women won't be allowed to use women’s restrooms in Capitol" Arbeiten8 (talk) 08:29, 22 November 2024 (UTC)
Transphobic motivation of Mace
[edit]Mace's argument is tantamount to saying, "I got bitten by a wolf, so, now, I will step on squirrels." While her flawed logic isn't cogent, it should be included that she is clarifying her attack on McBride by saying, "I’m a victim of abuse myself. I’m a rape survivor." McBride had nothing to do with whatever happened to Mace, but McBride is becoming victim of Mace's Psychological projection. Arbeiten8 (talk) 09:48, 22 November 2024 (UTC)
Massive deletion after Mace's panic attack following first trans lady in the House
[edit]I don't create stories. However, I was right when I said some people who object. Hence, to those editor deleting my edits, please explain why you narrow the focus to rolls of Charmin when she expanded her House Resolution and folks like AOC and Evan Greer expressed their outrage. Arbeiten8 (talk) 00:21, 23 November 2024 (UTC)
Editor FMSKy, please justify your vast deletion of reliable sources--Arbeiten8 (talk) 00:24, 23 November 2024 (UTC)
Mace's attack on Evan Greer
[edit]I have learned the 3-revert rule in 24 hours. So, I won't restore the sources. However, Mace's transphobic attack go beyond bathrooms and Congress: "Mace responded by misgendering Greer ". Arbeiten8 (talk) 00:30, 23 November 2024 (UTC)
- I wouldn't add this personally, because she seems to do this so often that it is an uphill battle to report all of the incidents ApteryxRainWing | Roar with me!!! | My contributions 15:29, 6 December 2024 (UTC)
Sara Haines: Mace is a "bullying troll"
[edit]Sara Haines of The View (talk show) described Mace as a 'bullying troll' over congresswoman's transphobic social media meltdown. I ask an uninvolved editor to add this to the mis-labeled bathroom section. video
Whoopi Goldberg who also accused Mace of “bullying,” said, “I don’t understand why this is her welcome to someone who is coming to make a difference in the country.” Arbeiten8 (talk) 01:24, 23 November 2024 (UTC)
- Both of those events will fall under recentism.
- Her daily performative gestures are not newsworthy, in and of themselves.
- thanks for helping to keep the encyclopedia accurate, Augmented Seventh (talk) 06:19, 23 November 2024 (UTC)
- Not really. Anything I added that was relevant got deleted. It is quite important that I added the broader version of the House Resolution "H.R.10186 - To prohibit individuals from accessing or using single-sex facilities on Federal property other than those corresponding to their biological sex, and for other purposes." There is a backstory to this resolution which is that Marjorie Taylor Greene was deadset against H.Res.1579 - "Prohibiting Members, officers, and employees of the House from using single-sex facilities other than those corresponding to their biological sex, and for other purposes". MTG demanded that trans ladies be banned from women's spaces in 'all taxpayer-funded facilities' (not just bathrooms)
- The distinction is
- *H.Res.1579 : bathroom resolution
- H.R.10186 : gender identity discrimination on all federal property
- I can't edit when hardline editors take the extreme position of immediate deletion in lieu of a reasoned approach with compromise. Arbeiten8 (talk) 07:23, 23 November 2024 (UTC)
Mace trashed the trans flag
[edit]Nancy Mace tears down trans bathroom posters and throws them in trash video on X Arbeiten8 (talk) 20:01, 23 November 2024 (UTC)
- not notable. Augmented Seventh (talk) 04:56, 24 November 2024 (UTC)

Don't be afraid to use judgment when RS is wrong
[edit]I object to the sentence, "She said she still supports aspects of a social transition such as a new name or new pronouns" sourced to CNN currently in this article. Considering that Mace has repeatedly said that she is against respecting pronouns and wants to humiliate, deadname, and misgenders, and calls minority women "lunatics" let alone drag queens, this is very misleading. The analysis in the article "Nancy Mace was never an LGBTQ+ ally. She was always a transphobic extremist." is very factual based on Mace's record in Congress.
To recap, Mace
- is against the Equality Act, which would add LGBTQ+ people to existing federal civil rights legislation;
- supported several anti-LGBTQ+ amendments added to larger spending bills that rolled back LGBTQ+ rights; and
- even voted against the LGBTQI+ Data Inclusion Act, which would add questions about LGBTQ+ identity to some federal surveys.
- She voted against reauthorizing the Violence Against Women Act because it would give some protections to transgender inmates.
- 2020 transphobic lies to get elected against Joe Cunningham (American politician). " when she ran an ad accusing her opponent, then-incumbent Rep. Joe Cunningham (D-SC), of working with Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) to pass a law “requiring transgender equality in the military,” a law that Mace claimed led to a local Marine Corps base almost getting shut down."
- 2022_United_States_House_of_Representatives_elections_in_South_Carolina#District_1 South Carolina Democratic House candidate Annie Andrews slammed Rep. Nancy Mace (R-S.C.) Wednesday for “bigoted attacks”
Arbeiten8 (talk) 08:50, 7 December 2024 (UTC)
- Yes, but I'm just going off what the news said. Wikipedia is dumb and doesn't allow common sense, so I added everything important from that article instead of cherry picking info to prove a point. Yes, Nancy Mace is a transphobic and hateful troglodyte, but she said something to a (debatably) reliable news source that seemed important enough to include. I was talking in the Teahouse about this and they said to add all the information from a source and allow the reader to use their judgement (which is a stupid idea, for the record) ApteryxRainWing🐉 | Roar with me!!! | My contributions 15:14, 9 December 2024 (UTC)
- When CNN doesn't do enough research. We can research and bring up facts published by Nancy Mace herself saying, "Cunningham and Pelosi passed a law requiring transgendered [sic] equality in the military, a liberal mandate that will close Parris Island." Parris Island Will Close Over My Dead Body She Joe Cunningham (American politician) in 2020 which was no easy challenge defeating an incumbent. Pundits are saying that she's going for the Senate seat of Lindsey Graham next. Arbeiten8 (talk) 21:18, 9 December 2024 (UTC)
- I have no idea what you are attempting to say. What does the future of Lindsey Graham's Senate seat have to do with Nancy Mace being a dipshit on twitter? I'm done arguing about this, it's pretty clear you aren't familiar with the concept of community consensus and WP:NPOV. Best of luck with whatever you do in life. - Mace is taking a page from the 2022 United States Senate election in Missouri. Mace's Twitter posts echo 2022 United States Senate election in Missouri and what Hartzler was doing which got her suspended on Twitter in March 2022 before Elon Musk took over in October 2022. Arbeiten8 (talk) 22:09, 9 December 2024 (UTC)
- Since you urged me to weigh in on this situation via your talk page, I will. You are failing to address the counterarguments being made by ApteryxRainWing🐉, and are instead just copy and pasting useless information regarding your initial point. ApteryxRainWing🐉 is not arguing whether or not your opinions are correct regarding Nancy Mace, in fact, quite the opposite. She is instead arguing that the means in which you are supporting your position is not viable for Wikepedia. I encourage you to be more civil and step back from the situation, as ApteryxRainWing is NOT your enemy here.
- Please see the below policies which ApteryxRainWing and I are reffering to:
